This is a new firm that is a breakaway from one of the big brokerage houses. I had one of the firm's principals, Greg Leggett, managing my account for many years with his previous brokerage. He is a very, very solid investment manager who uses a common sense approach to investing. He has always kept my portfolio well diversified and has always managed to gain returns on the portfolio that were comfortably ahead of the market. I am not his biggest client but he always treated me as if I was - with complete consideration and attentiveness. He avoids trendy investing and focuses on the health and growth potential of the companies in which he invests. He takes his job very seriously and he brought my portfolio through the most recent downturn with flying colors. I have moved my account from his previous brokerage firm to this new firm because I have complete trust in Greg Leggett and his associates.
