4/20/13 - I, and about eight other folks (at least one of whom drove several hours), showed up at Authentic Bartending School (ABS) in Hyattsville, MD for a two-hour bartending class. Unfortunately, ABS was locked up and an instructor did not arrive. We waited for 30 minutes of the two-hour time slot before giving up. No class! There was no notice on the door or at the contact phone number to indicate a sudden cancellation or postponement. What does it say about a business that schedules classes, happily collects class fees in advance, and then fails to deliver the scheduled class? Here's my take: incompetent management, no ethic of customer service, no skills in contingency planning, inattention to detail. My experience: ABS in Hyattsville MD is a total dud. I caution against using them. Caveat emptor. I would have given ABS a rating of zero stars, but the webform required me to select at least one.
