I was asked a friend of mine at one of the senior centers here in Silicon Valley about a good assisted living facility offering senior housing in the west San Jose / Campbell area. She told me about this place and gave it a good recommendation. Well, we placed my mom here and they have done a wonderful job for her. She has early stage dementia / Alzheimer's so I had to find a senior housing solution that offers assisted living to San Jose residents. Since this is a board and care home, it is licensed as an RCFE (residential care for elderly) facility by the state of California. I think they offer better care here than bigger assisted living facilities. Mom really likes the food. She isn't as active as she used to be, and some of the assisted living places have activities that would be wasted on Mom. As a longtime resident of Silicon Valley, mom has outlived many of her friends. But since this assisted living facility is in west San Jose near my house, I can visit her often (and I do). This is the type of place I want to come to when I get older. I highly recommend it as a wonderful senior housing solution!!!
